His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad Sponsors the Launch Ceremony of Hail Region Initiatives.
His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Hail Region, sponsored today at the Emirate's headquarters the launch ceremony of the Hail Region Initiatives, organized by the Emirate’s Agency – Initiatives Office – in cooperation with relevant entities. These initiatives include: Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz’s “Mithaq” Initiative for the automation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s Human Resources Development Programs for job performance evaluation, the “Afw” Initiative for blood money governance, and Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz’s Tree Identity Initiative for the Hail Region.
Adel bin Saleh Al-Sheikh, Deputy Governor of Hail Region, delivered a speech in which he praised the leadership’s support for the development of regional emirates, under the supervision of His Highness the Minister of Interior. He noted the qualitative leaps achieved by the Emirate thanks to the care and guidance of the Emir of the region and the follow-up of His Deputy. He explained that the “Mithaq” Initiative is the first electronic platform in the Kingdom that fully automates King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s Human Resources Development Programs through digital procedures, aiming to enhance productivity competitiveness in job performance, prepare and build second-tier leaders, reinforce the concept of justice and transparency among employees, and raise their work productivity.
Al-Sheikh also stated that the “Afw” Initiative is the first electronic platform for blood money governance, facilitating data sharing among government entities in accordance with national digital governance regulations. This enhances national belonging and limits undesirable tribal affiliations in the collection of blood money. He pointed out that the third initiative, “Thahabiya” (Golden), was launched under the guidance of His Highness the Emir of the Region to create a tree identity for the area. This initiative aligns with the region’s climate and aims to enhance and diversify vegetation cover, beautify the city and its streets, provide a source of oxygen, attract tourism, and select evergreen trees with low water requirements compatible with the local environment.
Following this, His Highness the Emir of Hail Region witnessed the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the Emirate of the Region, represented by Deputy Governor Adel bin Saleh Al-Sheikh, and the Hail Municipality, represented by its Mayor, Engineer Sultan Al-Zaidy. Under this MoU, the municipality will work on completing the “Thahabiya” Initiative for the tree identity by planting the Acacia Glauca tree along urban roads. This tree is known for its bright yellow blossoms, water efficiency, ability to grow up to seven meters, and adaptability to climate and weather conditions. It is also considered successful in enhancing vegetation cover in the region and aligns with the Saudi Green Initiative.
At the end of the ceremony, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad expressed in a press statement his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince – may God protect them – for their continuous support to the regional emirates, under the supervision of His Highness the Minister of Interior. This support has enabled the Emirate of the Region to embark on a broad path of development, launch qualitative initiatives, and achieve integration in performance with government and service agencies in the region, which benefits regional development and provides a dignified life for its citizens.
He praised the creative work system among various government and private entities and the keenness of the nation's citizens to drive developmental momentum, affirming that the efforts are now tangible, the development is visible, and expectations for the future are growing. He highlighted the Emirate’s initiatives — Mithaq, Afw, and Thahabiya Tree Identity — as part of a broader identity that reflects the treasures, heritage, environment, and beauty of the region. He also praised the beauty, spirit, and generosity of the region's people and their enthusiasm to develop their region and elevate it across various fields.
